Aimhigher is working with the major Information and Guidance Networks such as Connexions, careers staff in schools and colleges and the Higher Education Institutions to improve the Information and Guidance available to 14-19 learners. The world of Higher Education study has changed immeasurably over the last few years with many new courses and methods of study available.

How is Aimhigher in Birmingham and Solihull improving the Information and Guidance available for Higher Education?

We are engaged in the following activities:-

• Staff development for those advising learners on progression to HE
• Production of user-friendly materials - IAG Resources in Birmingham and Solihull
• Events for parents in schools, colleges and community venues
• Supporting Connexions events aimed at parents and young people, particularly in high deprivation areas
